Sedbergh International Summer School

Designed for students aged 14–17, Future Founders is the perfect course for students who want to explore entrepreneurship, innovation, and teamwork in a dynamic, hands-on environment.
Over the course of two weeks, participants work in teams to develop a business idea from concept to creation, gaining practical experience in marketing, budgeting, branding, and digital communication. Through interactive workshops and real-world challenges, students learn how imagination, strategy, and collaboration can turn bold ideas into success stories while building confidence, resilience, and leadership skills. The itinerary blends classroom learning with exciting excursions and adventure activities.

Week One introduces the foundations of business and leadership, including creative problem-solving, public speaking, and negotiation, alongside sessions on AI, technology, and coding for modern enterprises. Students also explore marketing essentials and take part in an Apprentice-style challenge in Manchester, applying their skills in real-world scenarios. Additional highlights include global enterprise insights, sustainability discussions, and branding workshops focused on social media and mental health.

Week Two shifts to project development, covering budgeting, brand refinement, and digital communication, supported by guest speakers and pitch rehearsals. A research excursion to York provides inspiration before the programme culminates in a Dragon’s Den-style finale, where teams present their business ideas to a panel of judges.
