About This Course
LONDON IS OUR CLASSROOM
The Summer School takes place on one of Notting Hill’s quaint, colourful backstreets, on the borders of Kensington and Westminster.

Students will enjoy the peace and quiet of the local area while studying in the morning, before heading out into the hustle and bustle of the city in the afternoon. With the central Zone 1 location, the very best that London has to offer is right on our doorstep. Beautiful parks, a thriving arts scene, famous historical and cultural landmarks, and excellent opportunities for shopping are just a short walk or tube ride away.

Students’ learning is enriched with regular subject-specific field trips and excursions in and around London. At lunchtime, students can play sport, enjoy an ice cream in Kensington Gardens, or simply relax in the shade of Hyde Park, located just a few minutes’ walk away from our Summer School building.

ACADEMIC PATHWAYS
Each course contains pathway-specific workshops, lectures, and seminars, which are led by expert teachers and industry professionals. Teaching is based on the principle ‘learn, practice, produce’. At KPS, students are taught the theoretical foundations, and teachers help them to apply these in practical contexts, and then give them space to create something of their own based on the skills they have learnt. At the end of the programme, students have the chance to present their projects to their peers during our student showcase.

ART & DESIGN   -  BUSINESS & ENTREPRENEURSHIP  - DRAMA & THEATRESTUDIES

ENGINEERING & COMPUTING - LAW, POLITICS & INTERNATIONALRELATIONS

MEDICINE

FIELD TRIPS
Subject-specific field trips are a fundamental part of the student experience. Over the course of the summer programme, students will enjoy five afternoons of academic trips and visits with their subject teachers. These trips provide students with real-world examples of their subjects in action.

LIFE SKILLS
Alongside their subject classes, summer students benefit from practical workshops which focus on developing the skills that will help them to succeed at university and beyond. Interactive sessions in areas such as critical thinking, public speaking, interview skills, and growth mindset will push students out of their comfort zones and challenge them to develop new ways of thinking.

SOCIAL
A key part of KPS Summer is meeting new people from all over the world, and creating friendships that will last a lifetime. During the evenings and at the weekend, summer students enjoy a rich and varied social programme which will introduce them to the breadth of the UK’s capital city.

Testimonials

During the programme, our art teacher didn’t just encourage us to draw in the classroom, but to draw a little bit each day whenever and wherever we can.  It wasn’t just traditional painting - we were given so many other things to try, such as collage, lino cutting, embroidery, and sculpture. Overall, it wasa really great experience which has helped me to
develop many new skills.”
DOMINIKA, AUSTRIA

I was looking for a summer camp that was careersfocused because I thought it would help me to choose a university major. I really enjoyed that we got to try out different branches of business like finance and marketing. There was theory, but also lots of practical elements. The teachers were friendly and patient, so don’t be afraid to ask if you don’t understand  something. You will gain a lot from it!”
KAMILE, LITHUANIA

We covered a lot of topics and also got a really good general view of Computing and what it like to study Computer Science in an English speaking country. I liked the practical lessons because we don’t have that in my country; I loved matching the theoretical learning with the practical skills. I really enjoyed seeing the museums  and travelling in London, combining the studying with experiencing London.
