About This Course
The Oswestry Summer school offers pupils full immersion into British Independent School life. As well as delivering a robust English langauge programme, the academic programme (delivered by qualified Oswestry teachers) will include lessons on: Leadership and Government, Science and Industry and Art, Culture and Literature (supported by trips to Liverpool, Shrewsbury, Stratford-upon-Avon and Oxford).
Uniquely, the programme also offers pupils the chance to undertake the internationally recognised Higher Project qualification - equivalent to a GCSE grade on completion.
An exciting co-curricular programme will see all pupils contributing to a dramatic production, a gala concert and a host of sporting competitions bringing English and international pupils together. Pupils will also have the opportunity to engage in a wide range of adventurous activities in the idyllic welsh countryside.
A programme of evening events will see pupils gaining confidence through debating, talent shows as well as cookery competitions. Accommodation is provided in Oswestry school's modern, comfortable boarding houses and is overseen by an experienced pastoral team of Oswestry staff. Each pupil is assigned their own tutor as well as their House Parent who will oversee and report back on their progress and wellbeing across the programme.
All levels of English can be accomodated, even complete beginners and a programme is also available for native speakers.
